Ghana to launch National SHS Alumni Fund on June 12

Ghana's Ministry of Education says it will launch a National SHS Alumni Fund in June this year.

The Fund when launched, will aim at strengthening alumni support systems within the country's educational institutions.

The Sector Minister Haruna Iddrisu announced that the launch will come off on June 12 when further details would be made.

It is also expected that the Fund when setup, will also support the Free-SHS programme initiated by the previous government.

It is hoped that many more opportunities would be opened through this Fund going forward.

This would be welcome news for stakeholders in education as Ghana seeks to improve standards in this sector.
