The collision comes as traffic intensifies ahead of the Easter weekend. Traffic spokesperson Mashudu Mabata advises motorists travelling from Gauteng to use the off-ramp at the Nyl Toll Plaza and the R101 to reach Polokwane, due to the increased traffic volumes.

Gauteng Traffic Police have issued a warning to motorists to adhere to road safety regulations and to avoid overloading their vehicles. Sello Maremane, spokesperson for the Gauteng Traffic Police, stated that operations will be intensified across the province, particularly on routes experiencing high traffic volumes, to ensure safety during this busy period.
