Debutants Malawi will play Cameroon in the grand finale of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) football tournament on Sunday in Morocco.

This comes after both countries won their respective semi-final games on Wednesday.

Malawi, who have surprised many at this year's tournament, beat Algeria 3-1 in the first semi-final game, to continue with the impressive showing in Morocco.

In the other last four encounter, Cameroon put up a stubborn display to eliminate hosts Morocco 3-1 on penalties after their game ended goalless after extra-time.

Sunday's grand finale, will be played at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium, Rabat, Morocco with kick off time set for 19:00 GMT.

A win for either side will be their first in the history of the competition with only three countries having won the tournament previously.

Nigeria have won it the most times (10), with Equatorial Guinea (two) and South Africa (one), as the other winners since the competition started in 1998.
