Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama Inspects Major Hostel Project in Northern Region

John Dramani Mahama has continued his “Resetting Ghana” tour with a visit to the Northern Region, where he inspected ongoing construction of a modern hostel facility at Bimbilla EP College of Education.

The project, a three-storey building with a 300-bed capacity, is part of broader efforts to strengthen infrastructure across teacher training institutions in the country. Once completed, the facility is expected to ease the persistent accommodation challenges faced by students while also creating a more supportive environment for academic work.

During the inspection, attention was focused on the pace of construction and the quality of work being carried out. The development reflects a growing emphasis on improving conditions within colleges of education, where rising enrolment has put pressure on existing facilities.
