Inside Story of Tinubu’s Meeting with Renewed Hope Leaders and Ambassadors.

President Bola Tinubu recently held his inaugural meeting with the leaders and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), a key component in his 2027 re-election campaign. The gathering took place on Thursday, April 16, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The President delivered a compelling speech, urging the ambassadors to courageously fulfill their roles and criticising the opposition for undermining the country's legal system.

President Tinubu’s Address.

In his speech, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of the ambassadors' mission, stating: “You represent the conscience of a nation that wants to break the shackles of poverty and hopelessness. This is a lifetime opportunity to break the shackles of poverty and ignorance.” He stressed the necessity of adhering to lawful court orders and embracing the judiciary's decisions, regardless of whether they are favorable.

Tinubu highlighted the core principles of democracy, such as the separation of powers, and the significance of building a unified Nigeria. He urged the ambassadors to foster a common vision for national prosperity and progress, embodying the essence of Renewed Hope.

Attendees at the Meeting.

The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima; All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; Deputy Director-General and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; and RHA National Secretary and Gombe State Governor, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya. Also present were Governors Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), and Monday Okpebholo (Edo).

Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ Progress.

The leaders and ambassadors of Renewed Hope shared updates on their progress, expressing both inspiration and enthusiasm. Their primary aim was to brief President Tinubu on the advancements made in their national assignment, demonstrating that the structure he initiated is active, coordinated, and producing tangible political and civic benefits nationwide.

According to the ambassadors, regional activities have commenced, with local government structures and electoral wards inaugurated. They have begun the process of enumeration down to the polling unit level, actively collecting data and spreading their message to various community groups, including markets, schools, professional organizations, women's platforms, and grassroots political structures.

Voices from the Meeting.

Uba Sani, Deputy DG and Kaduna Governor

Governor Uba Sani emphasized the importance of spreading the message of renewed hope to every ward, local government, and state. He remarked, “No President in the history of Nigeria has supported the sub-nationals like President Tinubu. The opposition is not out to contest the election; their agenda is anarchy. And that is the reason why governors, ministers, and LG chairmen must take the message of renewed hope to the grassroots.

Inuwa Yahaya, RHA Secretary and Gombe Governor

Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed confidence in the ambassadors' ability to deliver on their objectives. He acknowledged President Tinubu's support for sub-national governments, noting the positive changes experienced during his tenure.

Aminu Masari, RHA North-West Zonal Coordinator

Former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari highlighted the challenges faced by reformers, especially in a complex society. He praised President Tinubu's economic reforms, which have allowed sub-national governments to thrive.

The meeting concluded with various leaders expressing gratitude for the initiatives undertaken by President Tinubu, such as the student loan scheme, NELFUND, which has benefited over a million students. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors are committed to their mission, aiming to foster a unified vision for Nigeria's future, grounded in progress and prosperity.
