New details about Kumasi Pastor who died during church service emerges

New details have emerged about the death of Prophet Isaac Ofori, founder and leader of the International Golden Cathedral in Kumasi.

According to a video sighted by Ghbase News, a close friend of he the prophet revealed he collapsed during a church service while leading a spiritual healing session for members of his congregation.

The programme was known as “Breaking the Pots.” Members were required to bring pots to the service, which Prophet Ofori would break as a representation of the problems and afflictions they wanted to overcome.

This friend told ATV Global that Prophet Ofori also had pots that he personally assembled at the church.

According to the informant, after breaking the pots brought by members, he would sell the ones he had prepared to them at what was described as a high fee.

But during the particular healing session, the prophet reportedly began behaving strangely and then asked his own subordinates to pray for him.

According to the friend, he subsequently collapsed heavily and died.

The incident reportedly happened on May 26, 2026, shortly after the church programme near the Feyiase Tyre Hotel Junction in Kumasi.

At the time, reports said Prophet Ofori had collapsed after concluding a church programme, while close associates and other faith leaders, including Prophet Ogyaba, confirmed his passing.

An official medical cause of his passing has not been publicly released by his family or the church.
