The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the killing of several terrorists following a series of precision airstrikes in the Yuwe axis of the Sambisa Forest, a known stronghold for insurgent groups in Nigeria’s North-East region.
According to an official statement released by the Air Force, the operation was carried out after receiving credible intelligence indicating heightened terrorist activity in the area. The intelligence was further validated through Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which revealed the presence of armed fighters occupying fortified structures and underground bunkers.
The NAF stated that the airstrikes were carefully executed to target these positions, dealing a significant blow to the operational capabilities of the insurgents.
