Nigeria’s 2027 political race is already heating up, with major parties and opposition coalitions positioning their likely presidential contenders.

Current projections and reports suggest's that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the expected candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after receiving strong party endorsement for a second-term bid.

Peter Obi has been linked with the emerging Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) coalition following reports of political realignments involving opposition figures within Nigeria.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has also been at the center of coalition talks, with names like Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi associated with its presidential primary process.

Nigeria mostly referred to as the giant of Africa is often used in political conversations because of the country’s massive population, influence, and highly dramatic election cycles.

Still, many of these alignments remain fluid, and official party candidates for the 2027 election are not yet fully settled.
