Paris Saint‑Germain have introduced a new bonus structure designed to reward teamwork and recognize the often-overlooked contributions that help create goals.

According to reports from French media outlet L'Équipe, the club has implemented a system where players will receive equal bonus payments for three types of attacking contributions: scoring a goal, providing an assist, and delivering the pass before the assist — commonly referred to as the “pre-assist.”

The initiative aims to highlight the importance of players who play a crucial role in the build-up phase but rarely receive individual recognition on the scoresheet. These “unsung heroes” often orchestrate attacking moves, link midfield to attack, or make the decisive pass that ultimately leads to a goal.

By placing equal financial value on goals, assists, and pre-assists, PSG hope to encourage a more collective attacking approach while ensuring every player involved in a scoring sequence feels appreciated.

Club officials believe the policy will strengthen team unity and motivation across the squad, reinforcing the idea that success is built not only on the final touch but also on the intelligent play that creates the opportunity in the first place.
