Kranka, Bono East Region – Fear and uncertainty have gripped the Pampaso Royal Family in Kranka following the completion of the final funeral rites of Nana Awisi Oppong, the late Chief Priest of the revered Pampaso Shrine, an event that traditionally signals the commencement of processes to install a successor.

According to sources close to the family, the late Chief Priest's nephew, Kingsley Nteng, 36, was identified by family elders and custodians of the shrine as the rightful successor to assume the spiritual leadership of the Pampaso Shrine. However, the anticipated transition has been thrown into disarray after Mr. Nteng reportedly fled the community amid concerns that he could be forcefully enstooled against his wishes.

The development has sparked widespread concern among members of the royal family and residents of Kranka, a predominantly farming community in the Bono East Region.
