Telecel Group, a pan-African telecommunications and technology group, have announced a $200 million strategic partnership with Huawei, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai.

Eleanor Azar, Chief of Staff of Telecel Group, and Chad Wei, Deputy Managing Director of Huawei Ghana, signed the MOU. Nicolas Bourg, Chairman of Telecel Group, and Rex Lei, Regional Vice President of Huawei, witnessed the signing.

The three-year agreement nearly triples the $70 million framework signed by the two companies in Shenzhen last November and further strengthens the long-standing strategic relationship between Telecel Group and Huawei.
