Tiger Woods Released on Bail After Florida Crash

Tiger Woods, the renowned golfer, was released on bail following an arrest related to a crash in Jupiter Island, Florida. The incident involved a rollover crash, and Woods was suspected of driving under the influence (DUI). Despite the severity of the crash, no significant injuries were reported.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Woods exhibited signs of impairment at the crash scene. Although he tested negative for alcohol on a breathalyzer, he refused to undergo a urinalysis test, leading to his arrest on suspicion of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

The crash took place around 2pm local time, with Woods being booked at the county jail in Stuart, Florida, by 3pm. He was released on bail eight hours later, which is the minimum duration allowed under state law, as noted by Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek.

Circumstances of the Crash.

Sheriff Budensiek explained during a press conference that Woods’ Land Rover attempted to pass a truck with a pressure cleaner on its trailer. The vehicle collided with the trailer, causing Woods’ car to land on its side and continue down the road. Fortunately, neither Woods nor the truck driver sustained injuries. Budensiek remarked, “This could have been a lot worse.”

Police Investigation.
