Twelve years after it occurred, the Vatican officially confirmed the authenticity of a Eucharistic miracle in India.

The event took place on November 15, 2013, during morning Mass at Christ the King Church in Vilakkannur, Kerala. As the pastor, Father Thomas Pathickal, elevated the Eucharistic host during the consecration, the Holy Face of Jesus Christ miraculously appeared upon it.

Following the phenomenon, thousands of pilgrims flocked to the church to pray and venerate the host, drawing crowds so massive that local authorities eventually had to step in to manage the influx.

After more than a decade of careful scientific and theological evaluation, the Vatican officially recognized the miracle's authenticity in May 2025.

This profound event serves as a powerful, modern reminder of Christ’s true presence in the Eucharist.
